Upon entering the new restaurant Tongue and Cheek I couldn’t help but notice the sleek design. The place had a fun but elegant vibe to it. There are a few tables with nice white tablecloth outside. The hostess welcomed us and directed us to the area for the showing of the episode on Bravo’s tv show Best New Restaurant. Inside is so beautiful in the design and decor. One side has a long bar and a long booth with several tables divided by a beautiful glass wall. The other side has the dining tables where other patrons were enjoying a nice meal.

I got to meet Chef Jamie who is a very nice and enthusiastic man. You could just feel the energy coming off of him. He was very proud to have everything that he does. We then sat down to enjoy the show along with our rum and punch cocktails which were phenomenal! Throughout the show the waitstaff was passing out pretzels with Tongue and Cheek’s own tomato bases dipping sauce, fried chicken skin with a wonderful spicy aioli, and pig ears in a lettuce leaf. I am going to be honest, I was hesitant at first. I of course always have to try something once and it turns out all of the food they provided was great! The pig ears in lettuce wrap were my favorite!

Along with the excellent food, drinks and service the show was equally as entertaining. Upon the end the suspense had everyone in the restaurant on the edge of their seats. Then, they announced that Tongue and Cheek was the winner and at that point the entire restaurant was applauding and cheering. Chef Jamie was out interacting with the crowd and everyone immediately started hugging him and congratulating him. You could see the joy in his and all of his friends and families faces. It was a very fun and enjoyable experience to be a part of. I cannot wait to see what is in store for chef Jamie next!
