There’s actually an art to looking beach sexy without appearing overdone. To much makeup can make you look and feel grimy after a day at the beach. The best plan is to adjust your products and technique for a look that’s youthful and sexy but that won’t smear and melt off in the sunlight. There’s nothing like discovering a product that works consistently and will give you ever lasting beauty at the beach. Foundation: To make your foundation more sheer and translucent rub it in your fingers really quickly before applying. You may also want to try a water resistant lightweight product like M·A·C Studio Face and Body Foundation .
Powder: Instead of applying massive amounts of powder before the beach, toss it in your beach bag for touch ups later. There’s really no need to layer up before you hit the sand and surf. Just press it on your t-zone when your super shiny. MAC Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
Blush: When it comes to the beach, you don’t want a look that is too contoured. If you’re using blush, choose a tan or peach color. Highlighter: Illuminator helps to achieve that youthful dewy skin, but your usual creamy formula will melt right off on a hot day. Instead drop a few M·A·C Bronze Everyday Lustre Drops in your fingers and brush on your cheekbones, forehead, chin, and the places where the sun would naturally hit your face. Blend carefully.
Eyebrows: During the summer you should use a brow pencil instead of a powder. Choose a shade that is just a bit lighter than your actual brows. After you fill them in just where necessary, apply a clear gel to the brows to hold everything together and keep the color from smearing. NYX brow liner
Lipstick: try not to stray to far away from your own lip color. Shades with high contrast will only make you look to made up for a relaxed day at the beach. But be sure to use a sunscreen, the high level rays will make your lips dry and could burn that pretty pout. MAC Pretty Please
Lipliners: I personally love a lip liner and never leave home without it. If you want a lip that has a bit more definition use a lip liner and a balm instead of lipstick to ensure it lasts or stick to a neutral liner that’s close to your lip color. MAC Lipliner Strip Down
Eyeshadow: Cream eye shadow (not a powder) are a much better choice for the beach. I love neutral shades that complement your skin-tone.
